Villages and towns
Chillingham
Our closest Village is one of the most popular stops on any scenic drive through the Tweed. Stop at the Old Butcher shop Gallery home of fine quality porcelain ceramics. Pop into Bucks Farm and bush Tucker Garden the home of the Australian native finger lime. Try some of their local moisturises. Just over the road you can buy handmade soaps at a cottage based Factory.
Tyalgum
Just 10 mins up the road is set against a dramatic backdrop of the Wollumbin Mt Warning Caldera, this historic village oozes charm, with its cottage cafes, art galleries, gift stores, bookshop, jewellery studio. Enjoy a coffee at Kenita’s and see his woodwork. Sit down for a meal at Flutterbies Cafe. Every Friday night they have live entertainment while enjoying one of their wood fire oven pizzas. The local Pub has been operating since 1926 have a drink while waiting for your meal.
Uki
This quaint village is a hub of arts, culture, organics and alternative lifestyle nestled at the base of Mt Warning. It is only 40mins drive and a must to see on your way to Mt Warning (Wollumbin).
Tumbulgum
Enjoy the picturesque settings of the Tweed River and Mountains beyond. Admire the Historic buildings which are now cafes, galleries , pub and gift shops. Before heading to the coast.
Fingal Head
This unique rock formation is the most easterly point of Australia and sitting just below is Fingal lighthouse built in 1872 on the headland, reaching towards Cook Island. Walk the track around the headland.
Murwillumbah
